I Grew Up To Be The Woman I Always Wanted to Be is my grief memoir, a collection of poetry and prose, about the loss of my Dad 21 years ago and my Mom 4 years ago. The majority of the book deals with Mom’s death and my process afterwards.

I am a retired teacher. I taught middle school for 20 years and then worked at the district level for 7 years.
I love to write, read, dance and travel. Computers are also a passion of mine.
My brother and I inherited our family ranch five years ago, so I am now a ranch manager!
My new writing project is a biography of Marshall Flippo, a 91-year-old world renowned square dance caller. Flippo recently passed away. I have over 40 hours of recorded interviews with him that will be the basis of his biography
I am also working on a women's fiction and a poetry collection. Retirement is great!
